walt.farrell
What are your image dimensions before you do the export? How are you exporting? Can you show us any screenshots of the process? Pšenda
1 hour ago, GaryC said: it drops the lower number to 534 You have a locked aspect ratio, so the dimensions are always converted to the ratio of the original image. R C-R
Clicking on the Lock icon between the two size numbers toggles between locking the aspect ratio (lock closed) & unlocking it (lock open). walt.farrell
But note that if you don't lock the aspect ratio your exported file will be distorted. Staff Gabe Posted December 15, 2018 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2018 Hi @GaryC, If the file you need to export has got a different aspect ration, you would need to crop that file first to the aspect ratio ( or new pixel values ) to avoid any distorion ( as @walt.farrell mentioned, if you unlock the aspect ratio when resizing, it will distort the original image ) Thanks, Gabe. GaryC
Is there any special way of doing that like holding down a command key while cropping?
Staff Gabe Posted December 16, 2018 Staff Share Posted December 16, 2018 The best option would be to type in the values of your export in the crop tool. Change the mode to absolute dimensions. Or, change it to Custom Ratio, type in the ratio you want and that way your crop will be constrained to that ratio.
