Richard S. Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hi, does anyone know if there is a way to automatically achieve these concentric circles, in AD. https://youtu.be/kxtXea266VQ Thank you all in advance. Quote High-End Photographic Prints
Guest Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hello DesignMaster, Unfortunately, the answer is no. Quote
Richard S. Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 I want so much to use AD as my main vector app, but I always have to go back to other apps to achieve certain things such as this Thanks anyway. Quote High-End Photographic Prints
Alfred Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 It’ll be easy peasy when we get a Blend Tool, but it looks as though that’s still a long way off. Richard S. Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Shame, it seems I will have to go back to my usual vector program from now on, I’m fed up of keep having to switch between apps just to get simple things achieved. Maybe I’ll try AD again in a year or two. Thanks everyone. Quote High-End Photographic Prints
Guest Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Even I, who am not a professional, am getting tired of Designer with all his shortcomings... Quote
Richard S. Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 I like AD, and they do a great job of creating a professional vector app, but I get frustrated due to certain things not being implemented, and not being able to get plugins to compensate. I want to be able to use just one app for all my needs, so I keep going back to a certain other app. I want so much for AD to replace it, but it’s not feasible (for me at least), in its current form. John Rostron Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Have you tried Power Duplication? Duplicate your circle, go to the Transform panel, then enter W+xx in the Width box and H+xx in the Height box, where xx is your increment, then Duplicate again, and again ... I.have not done this myself for some time, but it has worked for me in the past. John Richard S. 1 Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo). Richard S. Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Thanks @John Rostron, I will give that a try. Just noticed you’re in Essex, me too Quote High-End Photographic Prints
Guest Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hello John Rostron, This does not work, the only way to get a regular interval is to copy and paste it with the value of the increase entered for each copy. Quote
Richard S. Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Reglico, why does that not work? It sounds like it should in theory, but I haven’t tried yet. What result does it give you then? Quote High-End Photographic Prints
Guest Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 The subject had already been raised here: Quote
gdenby Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hey, DesignMeister, If you are still around here, the duplicate feature accepts the size input, but the duplication process takes that input not as a constant, but a percentage of the next duplicate. Richard S. Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Thanks gdenby, not sure why it gives us no option, but I guess that’s just the way it is. I went back to my usual app and did it in about 20 seconds Such a shame, as I really want to use AD as my main app. Thanks for the advice everyone. Quote High-End Photographic Prints
