Hi All,

In one of the last few updates, I noticed that when placing or importing color images into a document they turn black and white.  What happened and/or did I goof something up?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi,

Can you use colors for text and other forms in those documents? Is the assigned profil for those documents a color profil or a greyscale one?

Perhaps you can add a document to your post as example.

Hi all, sorry for the delay.  I can take a color photo (jpg) and drag and drop it into a document.  The photo is still in color when I have it held, but as soon as I let it go to place it, the photo turns black and white!  This happened after one of the updates.  I can't explain too much more than that.  It is baffling.

Could you give us a sample . afpub file that demonstrates the issue?

Hi.  I fell for this too and eventually discovered that it was because I had a grey profile instead of an RGB.  Go to Document Setup, Colour Tab and set your Colour Format to RGB.  Magic!  I think it defaults to Grey.
