Impossible page setup?!

I was trying to setup a brochure in A5 ... horizontal orientation with the facing pages on the long side (like a horizontal calender - binding on the long side) ... And I need 4 vertical columns on each facing page (so setting up the document as A5 vertical with facing pages is NO option) ... is AP capable of that (maybe I just did not get it) - if not: any chance this will be implemented?

Wow ... impressive. But honestly ... I don't know how you did it  ... and I'm not capable to reproduce it :-( ... Seems like I haven't found the necessary setting yet ... despite your example :-(

Sorry away from pc for the day now, but the options are all in document settings and spread settings. 

I don't recall vertical facing being an option at creation, but it is there if you go back into the settings once the document exists. 

I'll take another look tomorrow.

It's also key, I think, that it's in landscape, not portrait, which you can't see in that dialog.

Looks like you had it in Portrait mode when you created the document, not Landscape.

This was the dialog "document setup" ... after I created the document. Does it mean you can't change the document to the required dimensions and setup later with this dialog?

I haven't found a way yet.

So you think there's a bug in the document setup?
Seems like if you don't do it right at the initial setup ... you will not be able to set up the pages accordingly afterwards ...

No, I don't think it's a bug; we just need a different way of thinking. In Designer you can adjust portrait/landscape in Document Settings. But that's a single page, which can only be one of those two choices.

In Publisher, you can have many pages (spreads), with many different orientations. In order to adjust that setting, you need to tell Publisher which spreads it should change, and so you need to use the Spread Settings instead of the Document Settings:

Hello @jelkomme,

what you are showing in your screenshots looks like document setup in Designer. The above thread is about Affinity Publisher. If you have that and enter document setup you will find what you are looking for. Note: the initial 'New Document' dialogue was changed recently and looks different from the screenshots further above in this thread.

I see in your screenshot that there is an ArtBoard1. I assume that is the cause you are seeing a different set up dialog.

Maybe for a test you can create a new APub document with only two pages. Then go 'Document Setup' and see if that looks different.

In fact it should not be possible to have a Master Page, or multiple document pages, and an Artboard. The file is clearly broken.
