serge Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Would be nice to have the ability to open .dng files generated by vuescan. I have contacted vuescan and they told me this: Quote VueScan writes DNG files with three colors per pixel, and some programs (like Affinity Photo) don't supportthis, even though the Adobe spec for DNG requires this. walt.farrell Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Note, though, an analysis done by another Affinity user here which suggests that, due to issues with the DNG specification v1.1, he believes that VueScan's output is not compatible with the current DNG specification v1.4. Perhaps that is the problem, instead? MikeW Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Same OP in both threads... Do note that Vuescan's DNG file isn't like one from a camera. You will not gain anything by saving as a Vuescan DNG versus its TIFF format. Alfred and John Rostron 2 Quote
