Rick G
I was able to solve this with TWO control starts the second one resetting everything It was working and in mid-stroke it just stopped. Possibly related to the same issue in the touch up tools? Control Runup is a work around. It keeps breaking Video attached Thanks in advance Affinity Photo Beta Cloning Failure.mp4 Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Rick G
I said 'oops" but I have noticed again and again that something resets the opacity to zero. more than once today although not at all on other days SOmething is triggering that as that is not a setting I normally change for the clone brush or the repair tools Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I will watch for it. I do change the cloning angle but know to click that box when resetting The failing of the clone brush and repair tools may be because of the opacity but I have had it happen in mid stroke specifically with the clone and inpainting brushes Thanks for the reply Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
