Is there a way to taper brush line thickness using the pressure tab as can be done with lines drawn with the line tool? If, as I suspect, there isn't this would be a useful feature to include in an update if it is possible.

Confirmed @jackamus - even though one is able to reset the curve in the Pressure pop-up sub-palette, there are no changes applied to the brushstroke on the canvas....

I'm now quite happy with the current system. I created a 'Style' for doing tapered lines for ellipses for doing technical illustrations.

I varied the thickness of the line by using the pressure profile. See the attached file.

Hi Boldlinedesign,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

This was already implemented Affinity Designer quite some time ago. The original post is from 2015.

Draw the line with the Pen Tool (or other vector tool) give it a width from the context toolbar dropdown, click the Pressure button, then manipulate the graph as you see fit.
