Bruno Rhuan Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Starting a new work. Trying to make a minimalist calendar based on Harry Potter characters, with a quote related too. Who's this one? Staff MattP Posted January 23, 2015 Staff Posted January 23, 2015 SNAPE! (with a reference to Lily) Yes, I am a huge fan - I have watched every movie more times than I can remember and have it on numerous different media! Can't wait to see the rest of the calendar! :D Quote

Bruno Rhuan Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Bloody hell! It's a little bit late, but it's March, alright? PDF: http://www.4shared.com/office/SQhi0IjCce/Harry_Potter_Calendar_-_March.html Quote
Staff MattP Posted March 5, 2015 Staff Posted March 5, 2015 Looks great! I really like the texture on the tartan! :D I'm going to hazard a guess at Gilderoy Lockhart, but I must confess I'm not certain - it looks so familiar that I'm kicking myself but I'm just not 100% sure?.... Quote
RobinK Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Isn´t it Ron wearing his yule ball "dress"? Bwt: which effect do you use to get this grain-like paper effect on the first 2 pictures? Quote
Staff MEB Posted March 6, 2015 Staff Posted March 6, 2015 Hi RobinK, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) That effect is called Noise. You can find it at the bottom of the Colour panel. If its displaying the Opacity slider instead, click on the small circle near the name to change it to Noise. You can also access it through the Fill/Stroke buttons on the context toolbar for some tools (Move, Node, Shapes tools etc) Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Bruno Rhuan Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Yah, thats Ron! And I´m using the Noise effect, as MEB just said. I think in the last one (March) I made something wrong during the rendering process so I may have exagerated the effet a bit. Quote
