Hello,

Somehow I cannot find the system palette. And the option in the hamburger menu from swatches doesnt show 'Add System Palette' ?

Any idea

If by "System Palette" you mean one that can be used in other software on your computer, then that is not possible in the Affinity apps. on Windows. You can either create an Application Palette that will be available for all documents (unless you delete it), or a Document Palette, which is only for the particular document that you are working on.

This is a Mac only option. Never used it myself though.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I have. It is useful in any Mac app that supports color palettes. So for example, in TextEdit RTF documents I can use the Color > Show Colors button to access any Color Palettes made in Affinity, or visa versa.
