Catherine D Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Is there a reason why there is a 2 license purchase minimum on the Business license? I am looking into purchase the suite and only need one license. Under the terms, the individual license is for machines that you own or control. The computer is an asset of our startup, so I do not technically own it and from my understanding we would need a business license. Quote
emmrecs01 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 @Catherine D Welcome to the Affinity forums! Are you to be the sole user of the computer(s) for your business? If so, the individual licence is fine; as long as you own and control any/all computers on which the software is to run. My understanding is that the Business Licence is for companies which have two or more employees who need access to the software which is running on computers owned by the business. Catherine D Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Thank you, @emmrecs01! Yes, I am the sole user, but the business owns the machine. Quote

carl123 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 As long as your founder does not mind you installing the software on the machine just go ahead and buy it and install it Serif is only interested in people trying to use more licenses than they have paid for, which is not the case here If the business pays for the software, then they own it if you leave If you pay for the software (personally) then you own it and if you leave it should be removed from the business machine it was installed on. What Serif calls a business licence does not apply here as they (Serif business licenses) are for two or more copies of the software E.g. I am a business but I only need one copy of the licence as there is only me and the dog here and he only uses Photoshop emmrecs01, StevenS, Alfred and 2 others 4 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
