missing shapes tool

Recommended Posts

Hello Folks

I'm not able to install the 'tool shapes', the one with the little triangle opening all shapes, I mean (see the screenshot), in my dock tools, even  opening 'customize tools'. I miss it (see the second screenshot). Someone can help me? Many thanks in advance. Paolo.

I think you have the QR Code Tool selected, try the little triangle there

I think you are right about that but it seems strange that in the OP's customize tools screenshot, next to the Node Tool in the 5th row, the icon is for the QR Code Tool with its faint exposure triangle. On my Mac, even if I have the the QR Code Tool selected in the Tools panel, I still get the Icon for the Rectangle Tool in the 5th row.

Maybe this is a Mac vs. Windows difference?

I get the Rectangle Tool in Customize Tools on Windows, too.

In any case, I think Jarulex may be on a Mac, because the tool order is different on Windows:

On Windows, the Place, Measurement, and Area tools are between the Node tool and the Rectangle tool group.

I think so too, but my comment was about the icon for the QR Code Tool appearing in the customize window (5th row, column 2) in the OP's screenshot rather than the icon for the Rectangle Tool.

On my Mac, I never see the QR icon in that position -- it is always the rectangle one. On your Mac do you ever see the QR one there?

On my Mac it is the tool that was chosen from the list/collection.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Not there! Look in the Customize Tools window at the 5th row, column 2 position in the OP's second screenshot. The OP's screenshot shows the QR tool icon there not the icon for the rectangle tool.

I am asking if any other Mac user ever sees the QR icon there.

I haven't while looking at it for this topic. And I don't recall seeing it before, but I seldom look and might not have noticed.

I can't find any way to make it appear there. I thought it might hve something to do with selecting the QR Tool in the Tools panel but that made no difference, nor did selecting any other tool in that group.
