It's actually 4.166px which is 1pt in a 300 DPI document

If it was a 72 DPI document the pt value would match the px value

If you want a 1px value for the stroke type that (in full) as the stroke value, not 1pt

You are defining it as 1 pt not 1 px.

There's an application Setting that controls whether lines are displayed in document units or points.

I use 300 DPI for print on demand.  I’m moving from Illustrator to Affinity Designer and I do not see a solution for this setting.  I setup my document for pixels and can’t find a way to set my stroke width to 3 pixels.  Adobe allows me to set my stroke and see my stroke as pixels at as 3 px 300 DPI.  So besides having to find a converting calculator, which is not the best solution, how can I change my stroke width to pixels and not have to use 72 DPI?  I’m using a MAC with AD V2.5.3. Thank you.

Hi @Rebecca1234 and welcome to the forums,

Go to Settings under the Affinity Designer 2 menu then User Interface and uncheck 'Show lines in Points'... This will now display your stroke width in pixels in the Stroke Panel, the Context toolbar and across the UI...

Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7

@Rebecca1234, you can also just use the suffix px in the strokes panel. Or the suffix mm or in etc. The display will still be in Points (pt) but the stroke will be the number of pixels you entered.

Having said that, if you work in pixels it may well be worth your while to set the User Interface as Hangman suggests to use Pixels for the stroke and maybe even for the text as well.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
