Intuos5
In 2.5.2, Windows 10, when I Ctrl drag to duplicate a pinned text frame to create another image in the text, the duplication does not work. In fact, I have a file where the image itself is resized in addition to the duplication. 2024-06-03 07-57-06.mp4 In this file below, it resizes the image itself. 2024-06-03 08-08-54.mp4 Steps to reproduce 1. Create a new document with a master 2. Apply the master to a spread 3. Add some text to the spread 4. Add a picture frame (and optional text frame for an image caption) 5. Group the objects from step 4 6. Pin the group to the text 7. Press Ctrl and drag > notice how this does not create a duplicate and unpinned (!) group Also notice if you hold Ctrl and drag the image group, it may select the image inside the frame (as if ctrl + lmb clicked). So to reproduce, it may help to click + drag and then hold Ctrl down later. Duplicate image caption bug.afpub
walt.farrell
Have you tried using Edit Detached for the Master Page layer on the document page? When you Pin an object into the Text Frame it becomes an object in the Master Page layer, and Edit Detached would be required to make changes to the object's size or position. Instead of showing a duplicate and stretched version at the original position, this stretches the duplicated object. walt.farrell
Hangman
There seems to be a possible screen redraw bug here I think... When the picture frame is initially duplicated using Ctrl Drag, the duplicate picture frame isn't shown in the Layers panel though it is sitting on top of the original picture frame... If the duplicated frame is click dragged to a new position both frames are visible on the page but only one picture frame appears in the Layers panel. Only when the picture frames are populated do both appear in the Layers panel... Note: The screen recording is on Mac which demonstrates the same behaviour...
