casdoc
I am unable to open any of the version 2.5 apps in Windows 11. I have downloaded both the MSIX and MSIX/EXE versions for x64 and the apps seem to crash when the splash screen displays loading fonts. I have tried repairing and resetting the apps and neither works. Does anyone have any ideas?
Hangman
Hi @casdoc and welcome to the forums, Did you download from the Microsoft Store? If so, this is a known issue and I believe a patch is being worked on to fix it which will hopefully be available very soon, though no timeframe has been confirmed as yet... casdoc
Hi Hangman, Thanks for the welcome. The only difference is I downloaded direct from the Affinity site?
Hangman
Hi @casdoc, Okay, thanks for confirming... there have been a number of reports of issues but I'm unsure if any affect the direct downloads from the Affinity Store I'll have to check... Edit: It looks as though there have been a couple of similar reports, hopefully, someone in the moderation team can clarify as this looks like a separate issue... Brian_J
I don’t know the details of the V2.5 issues, so not sure if what you’re experiencing is common for the Serif Store versions. If you want to install the previous versions so you can get work done, they are available here: https://store.serif.com/update/windows/designer/2/ https://store.serif.com/update/windows/photo/2/ https://store.serif.com/update/windows/publisher/2/ Quote Windows 10 22H2, 32GB RAM | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)
Staff stokerg Posted May 24 Staff Share Posted May 24 Hi @casdoc, This is something our Developers are currently investigating. We hope to have a solution to this shortly, for now, it would be best to roll back to 2.4.

Cuervo
Suddenly, Affinity Photo v2.5.3 fails to load. It quits on the splash screen saying it can't contact other Affinity apps. It advises to Check my network firewall. It was working a few days ago, only changes may have been some windows 11 updates. What's going on?
