Hi. I've reported this bug 5 years ago. Please refer to this thread. Is this ever going to be fixed?

Don't know why you have problem, it's always worked for me  see video

The bug report was in need of some TLC, so I've updated it to reflect that it's still a problem in the latest version and bumped it with your report.

The issue "Dragging out a horizontal guide can result in a vertical one instead" (REF: AF-3182) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.5.3.2514".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
