On my MacBook Pro M1, 16GB of RAM, >300GBs free on SSD, The affinity Apps take their time to start: A.Designer, for instances used 31 Seconds, right now, after I used it yesterday without shutting down the mac. A.Publisher (also used yesterday) made 41 hops in the doc until the starting lable came up. A.Photo made 46 Hops. I consider this highly improvable.

Photoshop (latest, but ever since I have this Mac) needs 4 Seconds, teeth brushed and shoes on.

Please see this post from Serif on the slow launch topic.

Thanks for the Info – I searched the forum for "speed" and could not find it. "Startup slow" would have been the more obvious choice.

You don't even need to go to Google. Just type startup speed into the search box at the top of the forum page, and set the dropdown to Everywhere.

You don't even need to go to Google.

However, as you can notice, the relevance of the offered results decreases significantly (Export assets, Brush drawings, Photo management, etc., where the word Speed or Startup is included, but not in the context of "Startup Speed").

It seems to only be with the initial startup. I have an M1 Max (32 gigs of RAM, 1 TB flash drive) and opening Design V1 with latest updates took 26 seconds. Closing Designer and opening it again takes maybe 1 second.

*** Edit Sorry just realized I was in the V2 forum, so can't say that my times are relevant for V2.
