The Texture in the Sub-Brush cannot be recognized. Is the texture a PNG File? CM0
Yes, and it works fine if on the main brush. It also displays properly on the preview for the sub brush.

Hangman
FWIW, on Mac this is working correctly. I added my own sub-brush texture since it is missing from the test.afbrushes file uploaded and once added the sub-brush texture both previews and paints. There is a sub-brush texture. See the first screenshot. Base texture on the right.

I see texture present in the editing dialog for that brush on Windows (similar to what was shown initially in this topic): However, when I paint there's no texture in the sub-brush. And none shows up in the main brush editing dialog ("More"): Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.5, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.

I've likewise done the same and on Mac the texture is missing so I don't know whether that is in some way related... I appreciate the texture is shown on Windows but the fact it doesn't paint suggests something is amiss. Could you upload the PNG sub-texture and I'll load it on Mac and see whether or not the texture paints when loaded... CM0
Note, this does work if I add it to the main brush texture. Just not for the sub-brush.
Hangman
Loading your PNG file as the sub-brush texture both previews and paints on macOS so it looks as though this may be a Windows issue... Edit: Ignore me, it's not working for the sub-brush CM0 1 Quote Affinity Designer 2.5.0 | Affinity Photo 2.5.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.0 MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, Magic Mouse
Hangman
There is an issue on Mac, as soon as you attempt to make any edits to the sub-texture General or Dynamics settings the window closes, in fact, it's just caused Photo to crash so something isn't right... Are you able to make adjustments to the sub-texture General or Dynamics settings on Windows without issues? Edit: After the crash and relaunching Photo the sub-texture General or Dynamics settings suddenly worked and so did the sub-texture but it was short-lived and now it's no longer working again and is again causing Photo to crash...
