Rudeman Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 Hi! I shoot about 50-100 photos per set in RAW in a studio. That means all photos have the same exposure, colors, etc. I love editing the photos on my iPad with the Apple Pencil afterwards. But setting the same adjustments for each individual RAW file every time is quite tedious. Is there a way to apply the same adjustments to multiple photos at once or at least export the settings from the Develop Persona and import them into the next photo? Thank you and best regards! Quote
Hangman Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 Hi @Rudeman and welcome to the forums, Sadly not since Affinity Photo doesn't have a DAM this is not an option... You would be better off tethering to Capture One Pro on your iPad for that kind of workflow where you could take a test shot, make your adjustments to the test shot and then have those adjustments automatically applied to the whole shoot... Alternatively, with all your RAWs loaded in C1, make your adjustments to the 1st image, copy and then apply those adjustments or even a subset of those adjustments in one go to all your other RAW files... Ldina Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 @Rudeman I've never used an iPad with Affinity products, so I don't know if this will work on iPad. There is a workaround to batch process RAW files on a desktop computer and export to whatever format you wish (afphoto, TIFF, PNG, JPG, etc). I posted a step by step procedure in the following thread for a new user. Credit goes to @Old Bruce for the technique. Not sure if this is what you need or not, but if all your studio shots have the same exposure, lighting, color, etc, I'd think this would help. walt.farrell Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 @Ldina: That will not work on the iPad, as it requires the ability to record macros, which is a desktop-only function. Ldina Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 Thanks, Walt. If Rudeman has a desktop computer too, he can use it to create a macro and batch process, then switch over to iPad, which he seems to prefer. Anyway, that was my thinking. 😊 Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet, 2TB OWC SSD USB external hard drive.

Rudeman Posted March 7, 2024 Author Posted March 7, 2024 Thank you very much for your answers! It’s a little bit sad, that there is no way for batch editing on the iPad, cause otherwise it’s a great tool to edit my photos. IMHO it wouldn’t be very hard to implement a function to save the settings in the development persona and import them and apply it on another raw image. Quote

If you are just doing general colour grading etc you can do bulk edits directly in Apple Photos, you can edit your first image using the built in iPad editor and copy and paste those changes to multiple images in one step. And yes you can import raw images into Apple Photos and edit them in situ. You can also revert back to your original raw image at any time if you are not happy with such basic edits. You can then edit in Affinity Photo any images which need more elaborate image processing.
