gfrank Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Is there a way to have a type of "lights-out" function in the crop tool? Specifically, to turn on a function that dims or entirely blacks out the area of a photo that is outside of the crop window? So when moving the crop window, only the area inside the crop window can be seen. Alfred and LilleG 2 Quote
Staff MEB Posted April 14, 2016 Staff Posted April 14, 2016 Hi gfrank, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) No, there's no way to dim the display area outside the crop. I'm moving this thread to the Feature Requests section. LilleG 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
nwhit Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I'll second this. Very important for us to preview the crop by having the area outside the crop dimmed. Thanks. LilleG Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Please do add it. It's one of those small things that you tend to miss from Photoshop. It isn't critical but it does let you see instantly if your planned crop looks as good as you thought it would. Quote
William Cartwright Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 I've requested this in the past (as have others). Seems like a simple (but valuable) feature to implement. Please add soon. Bill Quote
