Weird, that seems to be the case here on Mac as well. It is also present in the current betas 2.3.0 (2096).

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

It looks as though this is something we accidentally removed while fixing another bug. I have made a log for this functionality to be re-added.

@Callum: It might be nice to add a bug tag here, so we can be notified by the Serif Info Bot when the problem is resolved.

The removal of this feature wasn't actually a bug as useful as it was it was never intended for Boolean Add to function as a reset bounding box button. Unfortunately in fixing some other Boolean issues we seem to have also fixed this behaouir as a result this issue doesn't have a bug report for me to tag. Its likely that when this functionality returns it will be as a dedicated feature.
