The removal of this feature wasn't actually a bug as useful as it was it was never intended for Boolean Add to function as a reset bounding box button. Unfortunately in fixing some other Boolean issues we seem to have also fixed this behaouir as a result this issue doesn't have a bug report for me to tag.
