Save As starts in folder the file is saved in

Recommended Posts

I've got a problem with employees losing files because they did a "Save as" quickly and then went back to find the file and it was somewhere completely different than they thought, or there are multiple copies with different changes in each.

Is there a way or a feature that could be added where "Save As" starts the dialog box in the folder that it is saved in rather than anywhere else?

I tried to search if this had been posted before but the results of clicking the button says "forbidden"

Just to answer the question, there isn't a way to set the default file paths and it's a very frequent request. I'd like it, too. I want to open/save Publisher documents from one location and place images from another location.

Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF

My system: Affinity 2.4.2 for macOS Sonoma 14.5, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)
