Reverse Curve changes the selection

as shown above reverse curve changes your selection. my guess is this happens  because of node order is reversed, but the program didn't notice the difference, like in this curve there are 6 nodes and I chose the second, but when I reversed the curve, the program selected second node again but in reversed order, and I think this shouldn't happen.

to replicate this problem is easy, program doesn't matter, and I'm using the 2.2.0.1954 beta version

I think this is intended. As you reverse the curve, the actual selected node stays selected, but it’s Position is changed.
it becomes more obvious if you apply a pressure profile, and reduce the thickness of the start node to zero. Then the second node has e.g. 25% thickness. By reversing the curve this node with 25% thickness stays selected, even it’s position changed.

It is keeping selected the node which is the second from the start of the curve.

But the question is, what was the reason for choosing the node? Did you choose this node because it is the "second" node from the beginning of the curve, or because it is the node at the xy "position" with a specific curvature of the curve? Personally, I don't really care about the order of the node from the start of the curve, and I select the node because of its position and shape of the curve (so I can move it, or adjust the shape of the curve), so I would expect the node to remain selected even after change the direction of the curve.

TBH the problem is minor because affinity doesn't have weird node order like Corel if you make a donut shape but the innner circle is inverse. Affinity knows how to handle this issue so you don't have to select to fix this problem.

or in general you just have to reselect the node you want which is just few clicks.

but maybe, it could be a problem in some specific cases where you select specific nodes liike in an ornament and then you notice that you have to reverse the curve.
