Hi @Sahan,

We don't have any news to share at the moment in regards to if this tool will be added.

I've moved this thread over to feature requests for now 🙂

Thanks,  I hope if there are plans it will be there for the iPad Pro .. 😅

I doubt it. Which stock of images does Serif want to use?
The Adobe Stock is so huge and .. Adobe's. Does Serif even have such a great library to create an AI that's even close?

But yeah .. that new technique is for sure a gamechanger. I fear for us photographers who go out, do their thing, mostly out of fun or for love of nature/wildlife, optimizing the images in camera and the field, processing those RAW files and then? Then there come all those AI optimized or even generated images you cannot discern "good and evil".
I personally still want to do my thing as I did. But there will always be this stupid feeling that others do this and have no real challenge anymore.

AI is not going to adversely affect photographers that do photography for "fun or for love of nature/wildlife"

Photographers that do photography for a living are the ones that AI has the potential to affect the most

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

It's not clear that Adobe legally owns all of that-- they've been cagey about answering how Firefly is trained--and Adobe Stock contributors were not given a chance to opt out,  consent, to or be compensated for training.

They've taken a bold approach to steal first, and battle it out in the courts later.

I would love to see some new and efficient AI tools. Not a fan of just clicking and an image looks amazing, but the speed of editing things out or changing details, does open a lot of doors. It helps to get better compositions, where it's just not possible to arrange anything. And we edit nonetheless!! So why not do it much faster? I don't enjoy tedious work, but I do it, because I want a great image.
Generative fill can work as such a tool. The patch-tool, that's already there, is based on AI. Why not have faster and "better" ones?

Or a smart background marking tool, that enhances the speed of more complex "cut-outs". Or an auto-tracer in Designer ;)! Editing should be fast, so we have more time to be creative! And just use our loved Affinity suite, without learning other programs because of features..

I think implementing more AI stuff in general is good to determine what it actually is capable of and get to know it. It will be a part of the future, though it does evoke the output to appear uncanny when it generates.
Handmade things, will always be "better", if you're really good at your craft and understand what you're doing.

I want the combination of both!
