v2.0.4 on Windows 11, steps to reproduce -

1. Open raw file, in my case Sigma x3f.

2. Develop as linked raw.

3. Save as afphoto.

4. Close.

5. Open afphoto again.

6. Bug #1 - You see in Photo Persona just an empty raster, not the actual (processed) image.

7. Go to Develop Persona either by double-clicking the raw layer or selecting it and pushing "Develop Persona" icon.

8. Bug #2 - application crashes. Happens 100% of cases.

Occurs with both acceleration on and off.

2. Develop as linked raw.

Does it happen with an Embedded raw file instead of a Linked raw file?

Where are the raw files kept? Are they on a networked drive or on the computer's hard drive?

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Bug #1 does not happen with embedded. Bug #2 does happen.

Raw files are kept on the computers hard drive same folder as related afphoto file.

I would try turning Hardware Acceleration off as, In my case, none of my AfPhoto linked RAW images display this issue.

Make sure that if you are linking to an external disk/ssd that it has the same drive letter assigned when attaching it again.

As mentioned earlier, occurring with both hw accel on and off. And drive letter is not the issue. Have you tried it with x3f raw? suspect that those features have simply not been tested with x3f.

This appears to only happen with Sigma .x3f RAW files and I have logged this with our developers

I take it it's not likely to be fixed prior to 2.1 rollout?

Sorry this issues has not yet been addressed. When it is, a post will automatically appear here in this thread from a user called @Serif Info Bot describing how to try a beta that includes the fix
