Blind Pilot Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 When i use the cloud tool and make 3 or four clouds then use the knife tool and cut them in half and move one section then use the vector flood tool to fill it Designer crashes Quote
Staff Sean P Posted April 14, 2023 Staff Posted April 14, 2023 Hi Blind Pilot, Do the objects you're trying to use the Vector Flood Tool on filled or contain no fill? There is a known crash that occurs when you attempt to use the Vector Flood Fill with multiple objects selected on a non overlapping shape with no fill. Are you able to get a video showing the process you're doing that leads to the crash please? Thanks! Quote
Blind Pilot Posted April 14, 2023 Author Posted April 14, 2023 If i draw a circle or any object with no fill then take the knife tool and cut it in half, then use the move tool and move the top half, then use the vector flood tool to fill the object, Designer crashes. Quote
Ron P. Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 @Sean P, It appears to be the same no-fill crash. I tried replicating this earlier, however the vector shapes I used were already filled. Following Blind Pilot's latest recipe, where the vector objects were not filled, Designer crashes. Old Bruce Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 I cannot get this recipe to crash here with Mac OS 11.7. However I do see that when I Cut with the Knife tool and move one of the No Fill bits then use the Flood Fill tool I wind up with two Curves, one Filled and an empty copy. I get no empty copy if I use the Flood Fill tool on a cut already filled object. Titix Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Hello, I repeat this : Affinity Designer shuts down and returns me to desktop ! video2.mp4 Quote
Ron P. Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 I still get Designer crashing. Discovered that one of the segments must be moved before filling to trigger the crash. If you fill it first, then move, it does not crash. 2023-04-15 16-56-50.mp4 1a2e2d80-9306-409c-9734-dfc5cccd6dac.dmp Quote Affinity Photo 2.6..; Affinity Designer 2.6..; Affinity Publisher 2.6..; Affinity2 Beta versions.
