Hello,

I recently signed up for and downloaded the betas. I am on a Windows 10 machine. The vector fill tool is not showing up for me in the toolbar but it is available using the keyboard shortcut? I imported the settings from the retail release and thought maybe that caused the issue but resetting the application did not make it appear. Any ideas on what may be causing the issue.

Also is there a way to have fills be kept as a group or a single vector object? I know I can do it manually but it would be very convenient to create masks for patterns/textures.

Thanks for any assistance that can be provided.

Hi @MajesticFlame, when launched this was the release note...

A new vector flood tool has been added to Affinity Designer. This is denoted by a paint bucket icon in the Tools Panel (on iPad you can find it nested with the gradient fill tool, on Windows it will currently need to be manually added via Customising the Tools Panel).

As far as I know that is still the case on Windows so it should just be a case of adding the tool to the toolbar...

Thanks, that did it. I had to go to View and then Customize Tools. I had been trying to right click on the Tools to try and customize it like you can on the Tool Bar. And of course I checked in the settings as well. I would suggest the team enable right click to customize on the tools as well. I find that more intuitive personally.

Thanks again!

I’ve requested this as well, seems like a simple win in terms of UI/UX…
