HILFE! Danke an alle! Ach so: es geht um Aff PUBLISHER Edited March 23, 2023 by AndreaTh Quote
MikeTO Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Hi @AndreaTh and welcome to the forums. Can you duplicate this issue with a new document or just with your working document? Are you able to share the document here so we can try it? Hi Andrea, I had no difficulty inserting footnotes anywhere I tried into this document, using both 2.0.4 and 2.1 beta, but on macOS. Perhaps somebody else can try it on Windows. Where in the document did you try to insert the footnote? Pedrober Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 No problem here with Windows versions (2.0.4 and last beta). Quote
AndreaTh Posted April 8, 2023 Author Posted April 8, 2023 Thanks to you all, but this problem occured with the 30-days-trial version. Could there be an unfixed bug? I can´t remember where exactly I wanted to insert the footnote, and now can´t open the document with publ. 1 Quote
PaulEC Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 AFAIKI the trial version will be the latest release version. If you saved a file from the trial version (which will be v2), you will not be able to open it in v1. Unless you want to upgrade to v2, the only solution is to download the trial version of one of the other Affinity apps (assuming you haven't already used trial versions of them,) open the file in that, and then save it as a PDF, which you will be able to open in APub v1. (Although the Affinity files have different extensions, they can all be opened in any of the apps.) AndreaTh Posted April 9, 2023 Author Posted April 9, 2023 I knew so far about the pdf-files. Will that be useful to detect a flaw in an aff pub2 file? It will show me which footnote is missing, but the main problem is, I can´t even open it now in the trial version. Could that be fixed first? That might help me a lot. Quote
AndreaTh Posted April 9, 2023 Author Posted April 9, 2023 Puuh. After oscillating between the products of Affinity, I found out: - it´s the RECOVERY file that doesn´t open in afpub 2 anymore; but I got a manageable file now. - here it is; the footnote needs to be inserted behind the magenta bar. Dan C Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Hi @AndreaTh, Thanks for providing a copy of your file! I have been able to add a Footnote into your document in this location without the app crashing, however do note that the footnote is added to Page 2, due to your Positioning settings within the Notes Studio - 2023-04-11 12-40-52.mp4 I have attached a copy of your file with this second Footnote added. I hope this helps Alex_END_af2_FN2.afpub Quote
