Hi @Lisucia, Welcome to the forums.

When you use the Place Image Tool, and select multiple images, the Place Image Panel will appear.

That's the issue.....it's not! I don't know how to turn it back on! 🤔

Just like Paul stated, you need to use the Place Image Tool select more than 1 image, and it will appear. It's not a Studio that can remain open when empty. Just look at the Window Menu, there's no Place Image Panel/Studio, and the reason is, it's a Dynamic Panel or studio. Open when needed and closed when not/empty.

It's not something you can turn on or off. It's just the way the function works.

What application and OS are you using? Can you give us a screen video recording so we can see what's happening?

Long shot - You could try: Window > Studio > Reset Studio. Then try placing images again again!

Thanks for trying to help Paul 🙂 I'm using Affinity Designer 2 on WIndows 11. I've tried resetting the Studio and I've tried closing Designer and re-opening. When I accidentally turned it off I clicked 'Close' at the top of the panel (there were the options 'Close' and 'Close Group'). You'll see in the video, I can still place images but the panel doesn't appear!

The panel won't appear for single images, only appears for times you have chosen more than just one image to place.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
