NotMyFault Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 It seems impossible to copy / paste small pixel layers from V2 to V1. I create a line 6x1 px, filled by pixel brush with red. then copy, and "new from Clipboard". works in V2, but V1 pastes only a transparent document - no pixel content. If you paste larger pixel areas 8>250x250px) it works. image below: top V2, source bottom V1, destination Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Staff Chris B Posted January 16, 2023 Staff Posted January 16, 2023 This is working for me: V1 left/V2 right. Saying that, I would not be too worried if this didn't work. NotMyFault Posted January 16, 2023 Author Posted January 16, 2023 Unfortunately paste without format does not work, either. New from Clipboard creates an empty document, using the correct size. Even pixel layers get pasted, but without any content. In V2, I had enabled "Copy as SVG" in preferences. The Finder / View Clipboard shows correct data (image below) When disabling "Copy as SVG", the finder shows empty clipboard, nevertheless less V1 receives always the freshly copied (but empty) pixel layers. For testing, I use a different number of pixel layers to ensure I can distinguish if a fresh copy action was recognised (e.g. 2 pixel layers have 6x1 size, 3 pixel layers 6x3 etc). Staff Chris B Posted January 16, 2023 Staff Posted January 16, 2023 I forgot you're on macOS - I've just tried it on there and I get the same. Not sure why your viewport isn't rendering the content if the clipboard is showing it to be there... I will have to try some other configs when I get the chance. Old Bruce Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 For what it is worth here on Mac OS 11.7 I have copy as SVG enabled for Photo 2 and I can Copy from Photo 2 and Paste into Photo. No problems.
