i don’t think that it is possible.

I Photo you have „crop canvas“, which allows to recuse the canvas size to the document content in one click, but even this does not work in all circumstances.

May i ask for what purpose you need this function? Normally you want to export your final document into a shareable format like jpg png svg, and you can choose to export a selection only, or an Artboard. So the Document size in Designer becomes less important once you started to work with Artboards.

Yes, but it creates a new artboard: Select the desired layers > switch to the Artboard Tool > in the Context Toolbar choose "Selection" > "Insert Artboard".

Select all layers (Ctrl+A), New from Clipboard.
