Resize Document to Artwork automatically in Affinity Designer V2 ?

Recommended Posts

i don’t think that it is possible.

I Photo you have „crop canvas“, which allows to recuse the canvas size to the document content in one click, but even this does not work in all circumstances.

May i ask for what purpose you need this function? Normally you want to export your final document into a shareable format like jpg png svg, and you can choose to export a selection only, or an Artboard. So the Document size in Designer becomes less important once you started to work with Artboards.

My posts focus on technical aspects and leave out most of social grease like „maybe“, „in my opinion“, „I might be wrong“ etc. just add copy/paste all these softeners from this signature to make reading more comfortable for you. Otherwise I’m a fine person which respects you and everyone and wants to be respected.

Yes, but it creates a new artboard: Select the desired layers > switch to the Artboard Tool > in the Context Toolbar choose "Selection" > "Insert Artboard".
