When trying to export JPEG files from my Canon R5, the preview is all empty, or 95% empty.
Should be easy to reproduce.
Happens deterministically for me.

Seems to be related to the resolution of the image.
The R5 images are 8192 X 5464 px.

Photo version: 2.0.0 - 2.0.3

I'm seeing the same issue here. It appears that any image that is sized 8192 pixels or higher (horizontal or vertical) does not render in the export image preview window.

I'm having this problem too; is there a solution?

Hi @keeper2 and welcome to the forums,

This is a known bug which happens when the zoom level in the export preview is below 10%…

Which file format are you exporting to?

Affinity Designer 2.6.3 | Affinity Photo 2.6.3 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.3
MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse
HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse

Exporting to PDF; I set the document up as a 400dpi poster 20"x30" CMYK. It renders inside Affinity fine, but exporting it to PDF seems to take forever (I'm on a heavy duty iMac beefed up) and I noticed that if I leave the PDF document open after it exports it takes about 7 minutes and the document starts to fill in and eventually fully does. That seems odd.

Actually this happens when the image size is greater than 8191 pixels exactly.
That is " large side > 2^13 px".
That is, as usual, the programmer is using a power of 2 as a "magic number", to express a system limit.
But 8192px is too small for 2023.

This should be easy to fix.
Please do so!
Many folks now have digital cameras that are 8192px wide or more
(Canon R5 images are EXACTLY 8192px).
