Intuos5
I was hoping to use the vector warp feature on linked PDF and linked PNG files, to distort topographic maps. However, the vector warp feature does not affect linked files. Could this non-destructive workflow please be added for linked files?
fde101
If you are in Designer, note that the feature currently does not work on any raster layers, which a PNG would obviously be. If the PDF files are also raster then they may be impacted by the same.
Intuos5
The PDF is a vector file.
Intuos5
Linked Affinity Designer files (vector only) get completely shredded by the Mesh Warp, even though I can apply the Warp Group to the vector layers in the source file just fine. Bluebug
It seems that only vector objects that are 'physically' in the file you're working on can be warped correctly. Anything placed, even a 100% vector Designer file won't behave as you'd expect. For working with mock-ups, this is quite disappointing. Staff Ash Posted February 15, 2023 Staff Share Posted February 15, 2023 Thanks for this feedback. We have now decided to include the raster based perspective and mesh warp non destructive live filters from Affinity Photo in the Pixel Persona of Designer and that is now available in the 2.1 beta released today. This allows the warping of images, embedded documents and other non-pure vector objects. The main thing to bear in mind is that these are raster based effects, and will mean any vector data you warp using these live filters will be rasterised when you come to export. It would be great if you wanted to try it out in the beta and let us know what you think - you can sign up to the beta program here.
