PaulG09
I stopped using Affinity Photo for processing raw files from my Canon R6, as the white balance and tint were completely different from as shot. Does version 2 address this problem?

PaulG09
Thank you for your reply. This was taken yesterday, when I open this in Affinity Photo, this comes up with a white balance of 4410k and a magenta tint of 35%. When I open this in Canon DPP the white balance shows as 5200k. _N5A7237.CR3

PaulG09
Thank you for your reply, I don't understand why Affinity does this. I reported it on version 1 and was hoping it was going to be fixed in this version, but it would appear not.
lphilpot
IMO the Develop persona in Photo is more or less a "me too!" thing at this point. Yes, it processes raw images but there are far more powerful (and free) alternatives out there. I've tried it a bit but don't see myself moving to it for raw processing except maybe in a pinch. Hopefully they'll continue to develop it (no pun intended) into something competitive but at this point I don't think it's "there". The Photo persona is why I bought the app. PaulG09 1 Quote Len Affinity Photo 2 | QCAD 3 | FastStone | SpyderX Pro | FOSS: ART darktable XnView RawTherapee Inkscape G'MIC LibreOffice Windows 11 on a 16 GB, Ryzen 5700 8-core laptop with a cheesy little embedded AMD GPU Canon T8i / 850D | Canon EF 24-70mm F4L IS USM | Canon EF 70-200mm F4 L USM | Rikenon P 50mm f/1.7 | K&F Concept Nano-X filters ...desperately looking for landscapes in Nolandscapeland https://www.flickr.com/photos/14015058@N07/
Staff Dan C Posted November 11, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 11, 2022 I've 'bumped' this bug report with our developers for you - we have tried to add as many bug fixes to V2 as possible, but we're aware not all from V1 have been covered yet, our apologies.
