spinko Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Hi, thanks for this update and the footnote feature. Thats great.... But am I missing something or is there still no way to easily build multi-spread documents à la InDesign ? If not, is it in the pipeline ? If yes, you have my money. Greetings. walt.farrell Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 It is not there today. You can only have 1- or 2-page spreads. And Serif generally does not comment on what's "in the pipeline". rparmar Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 I am teaching this subject in 40 minutes, so came here to see if Publisher 2 had finally implemented multi-page spreads. This is one of the most essential features, along with global layers and foot/end note support. I guess we got one out of three? NiTOXide, Dazmondo77 and spinko 2 1 Quote

My best workaround so far is using an artboard based layout. It's actually pretty easy: start with a simple blank 1-page Publisher document and convert it to artboards via Designer persona continue in the Publisher persona as usual, only switching to Designer if you need to add more artboards if you need to export full spreads rather than individual pages, add an extra blank "spread artboard" More on that here: … ff. From my (admittedly only brief) test, artboard based spreads can be combined with regular Publisher documents via the Books feature. Whether it actually works as expected, not sure: Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Sonoma > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 18 > Affinity v2

Specify 1 page, and do not specify Default Master, and then you can specify Create Artboard as part of the document when creating the document. loukash 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
