Aneliya
Can you help, please, Sirs. I use text tool, but when I try to print letters inside the text frame the text appears below the test frame. How can I manage this to print my text inside the text frame? Thank you in advance! walt.farrell
Could be something in the Paragraph panel, or something in the Text Frame panel. If you don't spot it, screenshots of those panels, while the cursor is in the text, would help. thomaso
Are the horizontal cyan lines a baseline grid? Note, you can ignore a baseline grid for single paragraph styles and for single text frames, too. MikeTO
There's more than one reason you might be seeing this. I was able to duplicate it with these settings: In the Paragraph panel, I increased the space before to something like 36 pts and I changed Use Space Before from Only Between Paragraphs to Always. The latter means that it will add space before a paragraph at the start of a text frame like in your example. If you used this option you should change it from Always or Only at Column Top to Only Between Paragraphs. With these settings or the similar options the text wouldn't fit into this small of frame. But it wouldn't normally display below the frame unless you turned off the Hide Overflow checkbox in the Text Frame panel. I recommend checking the Hide Overflow checkbox as shown here. Aneliya
Dear friends, Thank you so much. I understood that the most possible reason is grid, but still I am not sure. Al your advices are so helpful! Best, Aneliya.
Fipo
la prima cosa a cui ho pensato è lo spostamento della linea di base, che opero ad esempio per avere un testo ad un livello diverso rispetto agli altri caratteri... se me ne dimentico succede come te. Old Bruce
@Aneliya Check the Ignore Baseline Grid in the text frame panel. Down at the bottom.
