Jellyfish Watcher
(1) Repeated merging with the layer below causes it to crash! Is there a memory leak? (2) When repeatedly merging with the layer below, the merged original layer gradually blurs. Is there a default merging setting or can that setting be changed? 3) If I merge the visible layers, the problem 2) does not occur, but the number of merged layers increases by one, so I need to delete the layers before merging one by one. Is there any way to keep only one layer? (4) After merging layers into one layer, when I select a part of the layer and copy it, the selected area is not copied entirely and there is a part of the layer that is not copied. RichardMH
Do you have hardware acceleration turned on? If so try turning it off. Edit->Preferences->Peformance.

Is there a default merging setting or can that setting be changed? That is often caused by having pixel layers that either (a) are mis-aligned with the pixel grid or (b) have a layer DPI different from the document DPI. Rasterizing the layer before merging it usually fixes that problem. If you copy a layer and paste it on top of the black fill, the entire copied area will not be selected, and there will be a blackout area, which is still affected during the layer processing. (1) After editing an image layer by layer, use "Merge Visible Layers" to erase other layers and leave only one layer. (2) Copy a part do D#4 until D#5. (3) Paste the copied image into the blacked-out area for clarity. (4) As shown in the attached image, the data from when the image was edited remains in each layer, and the background is copied out, not in one layer. This is a simple example, but if you merge with the lower layer, the upper layer will be blurred, so you use "Merge Display Layers", but the part you want is not cut out, and copying does not go well, and I think it is not completely merged into one layer. 830f2ce3-f95e-4ed1-877f-4549499ec727.dmp
