While using the Paint Brush Tool you can swap between the Stroke and Fill colours by pressing the X key.

Apparently we can also set the Stroke and Fill colours to Black and White by pressing the D key, but I can’t get that to work for me, but that might just be my set-up or something to do with Windows version of the software (I’d need to do more checking).

I don't think this is a default shortcut, you have to set it yourself.

but I can’t find it in Preferences / Keyboard Shortcuts.

It's in the miscellaneous section but not set (Windows)

The Help is wrong

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Ah, ‘Miscellaneous’, of course, why wouldn’t I look there rather than in the “Edit”/”Editing” section like it is in the Help?
And I notice that the X key is described as “Toggle Fill Context” which describes that function perfectly clearly.

Thanks carl123.

I wonder why the D key isn’t set by default in Windows; maybe just an oversight I guess.

I can confirm this is a known and logged issue - as the D key is set as default on macOS for this option.
I'll get this 'bumped' with the dev team :)
