"Save as..." / "Save" / "Open" Windows are hidden by palettes

Recommended Posts

When I select "Save as... / Export / Save...", "New" / "Open"

the opening windows to the desktop / folder are hidden by the palettes. So I always have to click away, move or drag the palettes around on the screen first. The "Cancel" button or "Save" button and other communication options are hidden because these windows are not at the very front. Here would be potential to improve this.  - - - Apologies if this has been posted before.

The problem is that the palettes/tabs are floating, rather than being docked. Unless you really need them to be floating, it's probably easier to dock them to the sides.

Ideally the program would automatically adjust the z-order of the windows so the window with the focus would be on top. But until it does, we need to adjust. The Tab idea is an interesting one. You could also create different Studio Presets, and have one with those panels hidden (or docked) and another with them floating, and easily switch between the arrangements.
