I work on a PC, Windows 10, have the 1.10.5.1342 version of Affinity Photo.

I edited a brush and though it shows the changes in the brush panel, when I use it the changes don't take. I just get a line of the image. It's the jitter. It is set for pressure but I'm using a mouse and it never bothered before. I tried the other choices and they don't work either. I exited and tried again on a new document and with different brushes a couple times. Same thing happened.

Here's an example.

So what did I do wrong this time?Capture.JPG.de3adc39f70bde96a6c2696e7f53190c.JPG

Hi CRWillow!

"Pressure" and all pressure sensitive features can't work with a mouse, because it isn't pressure sensitive. You need a graphic tablet with a stylus (or iPad, Microsoft Surface...) for it. It's not clear to me what you intend to see. Could you upload a screenshot of the settings in the Brush Editor ("More" or double click on a brush)?

If you set the Size Jitter: to Velocity that should work with a mouse

The faster you move the mouse the larger the brush size

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

I prefer to have the Velocity (inverse) setting because that is how a brush in the real world would act. Long time painting one inch means more ink deposited on the paper than a very brief time painting one inch.

Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
