zwilson
I scanned in this image and get this type of image noise. Just curious what is the best way to remove this. FFT denoise worked ok. Dust and Scratches did a better job but I was wondering if there was a better way to clean this up.
Old Bruce
That isn't noise it is the halftone pattern. Use the FFT filter in Filter > Noise > FFT Callum 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

zwilson
Thanks for the replies. Sorry for the late response. FFT helped some but not as much as I hoped so I used it combined with dust and scratches which left minor blurryness but it's a small part of the over all image. I thought G'MIC was just a plugin for Gimp. I didn't know it could be used with other programs.

G'MIC now plays nicely with Affinity Photo in its recent version. John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo). CPU: Intel Core i5 8500 @ 3.00GHz.
