Dan C Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 As Affinity uses LensFun for lens correction support, we are unfortunately limited by the models that LensFun includes. Can you please confirm which lens models you are looking for profiles for? Quote

Unfortunately as far as I can tell, only the following 3 RF lenses are currently being supported/developed by LensFun - Hopefully LensFun will include support for your lens shortly, which in turn will mean Affinity can support auto-lens correction of your images. In the meantime, you may be able to find other sites that provide the required .XML file for your lens, which can then be installed through Affinity, but I have personally only used the LensFun site, so I cannot recommend any others, my apologies. I can’t find them anywhere other than canon but they are bin files that I can’t get open. If I had the raw data editing an XML is easy enough. I may have to stop using Affinity, and I’m not happy about that because I really like it. Not looking forward to an adobe subscription. Quote

David in Яuislip Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 You could try building an xml file for focal =24 and use the DistortParam1,2,3 values for a,b,c But if you check https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/supported-lenses.html you'll not find the Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM listed so I dunno what ACR has done. I suspect it's some generic correction rather than being based on the actual lens Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10

selenita Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Hello, I need help to add lens correction profile for my RICOH GR III in Affinity Photo 2 working on Windows 10. The profile exists on Lensfun and I downloaded it (RicohGRIIIx.xml file). I copied it to the path C:\Users\laure\.affinity\Photo\2.0\LensProfiles Then inside Affinity Photo, in general settings, I choose Open lens profiles in Explorer BUT selecting the .XML file instead of adding the profile opens the Ms Explorer browser. How can I associate the XML so that Affinity photo 2 recognizes it? ¿is there another way to do this? Thanks Silvia Quote
walt.farrell Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 You don't associate it, @selenita. All you do is put the file into the folder you already put it into, and you're done. The profile should be detected at that point when you Open an image that used it. selenita 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. I found this answer by a staff member “ Staff 5.7k Location: Nottingham Staff Posted January 29 Hi @mialse Welcome to the forums. On iPad the lens correction is auto applied within the Develop persona if the lens information is available within the images EXIF data. You can manually apply a lens profile but it has to be done using the Lens Correction filter within the Photo persona walt.farrell 1 Quote
