The stroke can be set to show on top of a fill or underneath a fill, it appears to be inactive on tables, I think the logic is, if the cells have a fill and you apply a stroke beneath the fill of the cells you would not see the cell strokes making the table look like a single block of colour, so although the Order feature is there it is non functioning.

  • Order—Select one of the order buttons to control where the stroke is placed in relation to the object. Draw stroke behind hides the inner half of the object's outline behind a closed shape—useful with very small objects or when shrinking outlined text. Draw stroke in front always reveals the whole line.

Works just fine here, likewise the "Order settings" work as expected on tables

I'm using the Frame settings in the table panel. Will check out your uploaded screenshot settings later to see if they make a difference under specific circumstances

In this really exciting video, all I am doing is toggling the Order setting for the stroke buttons

As you can see, they do make a difference so they are "working" buttons

I've tested that this is not a redraw (or optical illusion) issue by exporting 2 png files which clearly show the difference between the 2 buttons' positions.

Another thing I have noticed is that the Stroke is always above text in a cell but if you add a shape or image inline into the text then the stroke is below those objects which seems a little inconsistent

My only conclusion is that although the buttons "work" they are not doing what you would expect them to do regarding the fill of a cell or text, shapes, and images in a cell.

Bug???
