Hi @rhyswoos,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! We believe this crash in Affinity Designer is due to one of the sync'd packs through the My Account dialog (specifically the iOS 11 Assets) and therefore resetting the app back to default settings should resolve this crash for you.

You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open.

Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc.

I'm sorry to hear this!
The CTRL dialog should be shown before the 'loading fonts' screen appears and this method has resolved this issue for all other users experiencing the crash in Designer when loading fonts - can you please make sure that you are following the steps exactly, and are making sure that all 'reset' options are ticked in the dialog that shows? This should look as below:

On Windows, it may be necessary to press and hold Ctrl until the application icon shows up on the taskbar and then (with Ctrl still held) click on the application icon. Release Ctrl after the dialog appears.

This worked thanks, though I needed to use the repair tool from the download, before it would work
