Gnobelix
When editing photos that require perspective correction (Live-Filter-Layer), Affinity-Photo freezes and can only be terminated with the task manager. It does not matter if OpenCL is enable or disenble. I used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to delete the NVIDIA driver. A new installation of the actual NVIDIA Studio driver (471.41) also brought no improvement. The same problems also occurred in the beta (.1115) Does anyone have similar problems? cheers attachment_Log.txt df25465b-2452-40c6-a4b1-cee782e6e1fb.dmp Affinity Photo 2.5: Affinity Photo 1.10.6: Affinity Designer 2.5: Affinity Designer 1.10.6: Affinity Publisher 2.5: Affinity Publisher 1.10.6: Windows 11 Pro (Version 23H2 Build (22631.4112)
AlainP
I tried a few times and never got a crash. I have the same nVidia drivers, but I'm using Windows 11 dev, preview. -- Window 11 - 32 gb - Intel I7 - 8700 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 -- iPad Pro 2020 - 12,9 - 256 gb - Apple Pencil 2 -- iPad 9th gen 256 gb - Apple Pencil 1 -- Macbook Air 15" - Mac mini M2-Pro - 16 gb
David Quail
I have also attempted to force an error, but everything is working OK here. SPaceBar
Hi @Gnobelix Is this photo specific or does it happen on any photo that you try? Gnobelix
Gnobelix
Hello @SPaceBar, Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, it also happens with other photos. The only commonality I can see is the use of the Live Filter Perspective. I'll keep testing, maybe I'll discover another commonality. SPaceBar
Thanks for getting back to me. I'll have a look at Live Filter Perspective but if you do find anything else let me know. 👍
RichardMH
Does the perspective tool from the toolbar behave?
Subclavius
@Gnobelix, just a thought: I note that the live perspective filter is buried in between other layers. Does it make a difference if, for example it is on top? Is it worth deleting some of the other layers and see whether you still get the crash? That might point the finger at an interaction between layers rather than the filter itself. Gnobelix
