Data Merge Manager How to generate into separate files.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was tasked to generate individual contract documents for 100 different people. So I was using the Data Merge Manager to just change the name fields for each contract. However, I couldn't find a way to have output each person's contract into individual PDFs. I'm using Publisher Data Merge feature and all it does is put all pages into one single document.

Please help me resolve this issue. Thank you.

I don't think, that there is a solution inside APu, so you need an extra tool like e.g. https://pdfsam.org/pdfsam-basic/

If you want each page to be an individual pdf you could open the Publisher file in Designer and have each artboard exported as an individual PDF. No good if each person's PDF is going to be two or more pages.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

If you're on macOS, then Automator has a Split PDF action that will do the job:

Affinity Photo 2.0.3,  Affinity Designer 2.0.3, Affinity Publisher 2.0.3, Mac OSX 13, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel.
