Hey Sadham N,

A recent update to what? The Affinity app or the iPad?

Can you share a PSD with us? I've just tried and it's fine - there might be something we don't like in the PSD, perhaps.

Also, what happens when you try to open? Nothing? Do you get a blank screen or does nothing happen? Does it crash?

It’s actually after the affinity update.

When i try to import a psd file, the psd file i locate stays unselectable. I try to import different psd files but still not even a single psd file that i locate on my device looks selectable.

Do you have any Adobe apps installed on your iPad, especially any you've installed recently?

you should be able to open the psd file from within Affinity...but you cant do it the other way around..(select file...open with....choose Affinity)its like Walt suggests: I had the same problem whilst having adobe fresco eg  installed...even contacted Serif, Apple and Adobe concerning this problem..only.when I deleted all adobe programmes I could open psd files with selecting them..then "open with" Affinity..but I had to reinstall adobe fresco recently and now its only possible to open psd files from Affinity...hope that helps 🙂

You must have installed an Adobe app. Adobe assumes total control of PSD files on iPadOS preventing Affinity from accessing them. Uninstall the Adobe app is the only solution.

It is a question for the Adobe forums if they exist.

as I told you it works with a bit of a workaround...I ve just done it: I mainly use Affinity Designer but sometimes do vector drawings in Adobe Fresco (free version) after finishing it I go to "export" either as pdf or psd...send to...Affinity...that works fine, done it many times (newest version of AD)

dont know if thread starter still follows this thread, but I had an issue with an AI psd file yesterday and solved it following: saved it to a folder on my ipad, then started AD, there: "open file from cloud" and imported the saved psd...thats the workaround...
