Welcome to the forums @Lateral73

It might be useful if you explain exactly what you mean by “family sharing” as different people will have different ideas about what that means.

In the meantime, in addition to the advice above, (without knowing if “family sharing” has any specific meaning on Macs) if you want to use the same software on different machines which use the same OS and you control all of those machines then you can install the software on those different machines without purchasing extra licences.

However, if your machines have different OSes then you will need to purchase a licence for each OS; you can then install the software on each machine which you control that has the OS you have purchased a licence for.

From https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/set-up-family-sharing-mh3d6eb198/mac:

Family Sharing lets up to six members of your family share iTunes Store, App Store, and Apple Books purchases, and an iCloud storage plan—all without sharing accounts.

Exactly as the other forums members have mentioned, user licenses for multiple users within the same household/family for a single purchase fee by any member of the family group.

is this also available via the Microsoft store?

It should be, according to this article, unless things have changed in recent years:

I just downloaded Affinity Photo on my iPad but don’t see how to share it to my iPhone or wife’s iPad..... just the button to purchase. I have family sharing enabled on our devices

Pretty sure that it won't run on the Phone. Regardless you would be better served asking about this in the iPad forums, this is the Desktop section.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Affinity will not run on iPhones or on older iPads. If your wife's iPad will run AP, she can open the App Store app on it, & tap her user account icon at the top right of the screen.

This should open a window titled "Account" with a "Purchased" item. Tapping on that should open the "All Purchases" view with a "Family Purchases" section with your user name & icon as a choice. Tapping on that should open a list of your family sharable purchases.

I have Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher bought on my Mac. If I register these products as it asks all the time will my other members of my family still be able to install these apps on their macs through family sharing?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

They should be able to install whether you have Registered the application or not. Registration of the application is not related to the license for using the application.
