ashf
Please make adding/modifying appearance of multiple objects at once possible. I know I can paste a style to objects but would be nice if I could edit the appearance at once. Rudolphus
carl123
The select same/object function may do what you want but can you be more specific as to what you are trying to do? Have you tried to add/modify appearance of multiple objects at once? When you select multiple objects, their appearance won't be shown on the appearance panel and the add stroke/the add fill button is grayed out. So I did right now. 6 hours ago, ashf said: their appearance won't be shown on the appearance panel It seems that if they have common attributes, those will be shown. 6 hours ago, ashf said: the add stroke/the add fill button is grayed out. True. But: Not sure if it's a "bug" or a feature, but you can duplicate a stroke or a fill via context menu, change its attributes, and those will then be common to all selected objects. Main problem is that when the objects have multiple strokes/fills. Otherwise I won't need the appearance. the color palette or the context bar is enough. As I said I know I can copy & paste style but this is not efficient. it's making appearance not so useful.

You can't duplicate a stroke or a fill except in the Appearance panel. It works. Try it. Do you need me to record a video to demonstrate it for you? Either that, or if your issue is something else, please post a video yourself to illustrate it. Right, I was able to duplicate it but I can see & edit only one stoke/fill at a time when I select multiple objects even if they have the same style, so it's not useful. Yeah, that's slightly annoying, and there's definitely room for improvement. On the other hand, e.g. Illustrator CS5 isn't any helpful in that regard either, showing only "???" if the parameters don't match. Don't know about the newer versions though. ashf 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
Aranarth
I experience the same problem. Even if all selected objects have the same stroke already it's not possible to add a second stroke.

It is possible, just not the way one would expect it.Duplicate a stroke: Right-click and duplicate from the context menu. Adjust the duplicate to your liking. Problem solved by working around it. Aranarth
If I right click to duplicate, with many objects selected I don't get a second stroke while being in that selection. If then I select a single object I can see the duplicate of the stroke, but if I change it, of course the other objects are obviously not changed. Would be nice if a program behaves like the user would expect it. Anyway I found a more satisfying solution: create one object to my liking and select it, then "add style from selection", select all objects and set the style. It's not obvious, frankly, but if you've duplicated a stroke while having multiple objects selected, the one that is visible is now your duplicate and it's common for all objects selected. Any changes to it will apply to all objects while leaving their existing attributes intact. 3 hours ago, Aranarth said: Would be nice if a program behaves like the user would expect it. And this one proves that the application CAN do it, so why do we have to use any workaround if there is a panel for it? Sorry, I know this is not a question for you @loukash. iuli
