  1. I am talking about feature added in V2, take a look at Affinity help > page "Layer drop zones" > actions "Return above parent" and "Return below parent".
  2. Using parent bars in Layers panel to drop layers above or below their current parent does not work in V2.4.0. Tested in Designer and Publisher. While hovering over drop zone in parent bar the preview in document shows correct behaviour, but nothing happens after release of mouse button.
  3. I would like to bump this suggestion (BTW one of the oldies, it's more than 7 years old now). I think it is the most elegant solution while we don't have per-document nudge setting.
  4. Well, I know, but believe me, its not as easy and flexible to use as a simple Previous zoom. First of all, Navigator creates View points, not Zoom presets, that means they are fixed in position. When I work on details of a design moving here and there and just need to fast check overall impact and return back where I was, the View points present no real/easy/fast solution.
  5. Really helpful, thank you! I am aware this is not a place for a feature requests, but this one is a kind similar: could you, please, implement even 'Zoom to Previous Zoom' in all apps?
  6. Nice! Thank you @MikeTO! It really works like this. I have tried Affinity help to find solution, in vain. Luckily, there is this forum full of experienced users.
  7. Is there any reason why anchors from Publisher change order as bookmarks in exported PDF? I have found this topic for pre-V2 Publisher, but there is no answer or solution for this problem and it persist in V2.1.
  8. I have the same issue even with latest version 2.1. Any opacity changes of a bitmap fill/stroke have no effect at all. And when I select another fill or stroke in the panel and then return back to the bitmap fill with previously changed opacity it is set back to 100%. There is another issue: after changing opacity of a bitmap fill/stroke in Appearance panel you can't change opacity of any fill/stroke of the object.
  9. I think, the best benefit of using right click to create a copy of dragged object(s) is it is REPEATABLE. While dragging you can create as many copies as you desire by repeating right click. Using Alt/Ctrl method you create just single copy of object(s). If you want another one you have to release and repeat your Alt/Ctrl drag of object(s).
  10. I tried it and @SrPx is right, his "copy/paste-as-SVG" workaround works. Well, yet another workaround to the stack...
  11. Thanks for the interesting idea of "installing" color palettes 😉!
  12. Sorry then. He mentions linework in Designer, that mislead me ;o)
  13. On Windows use Ctrl + drag to create a copy of selected object(s)/layer(s) in Move tool. BTW it sometimes doesn't work as expected, in my experience. Better workflow is then: first start drag (object will move with mouse) and then press Ctrl (original object will reappear). While holding Ctrl drag new copy where you want it and drop (release mouse button).
  14. Many thanks, @GarryP, for these improvements! Glad to see this promising tool is alive.
  15. I agree with @zzbrufador! The way it works "by design" IS WRONG and is NOT as useful as it could (SHOULD!) be. This way we have crippled control over making complex selections in LARGE documents. I understand it is not a bug for now. But, @Gabe, can you, PLEASE, move it feature requests?
  16. A ja som zas tušil, že si/ste Čech - Lukáš nie je moc obvyklé slovenské meno 😉 Musím uznať, že tá "skôr pasívna" znalosť slovenčiny ma zmiatla, klobúk dolu! 👍
  18. Have tried it, me on Slovak keyboard using ô and § - not the same position as US/UK's [ and ], and noticed that "Apply to all" helped with change of other brushes, but this one :o( Since then I haven't tried this "workaround", just checking if it was added in new release of app. Well, it may sound weird to play with pixels in Designer, but it was not my idea to add Pixel persona there 🐵. The fact is I have found the omission of shortcuts by accident and just wanted to better my favorite app.
  19. You can even add a list of keyboard shortcuts that exist, but are not changeable. E.g. "[" and "]" for Refine selection tool in Designer:
  20. Zip uploaded! Included are: -original file BEFORE ANY UPDATES; - version of the file somewhere before the crash. Some editing done (changed Leading of Body, Space before of Heading1, added some text), problematic object overflow is on bottom of page 18, with pin on top of page 19; - autosave created by Publisher after crash;
  21. I am sorry for delayed reply, I needed to get permission to upload the document. Now I can upload it, but I don't get to computer till this afternoon, is it ok? Another question is which version of the document do you want? I have original version before changes, copy of autosave file, and version just after the crash.
  22. I have a document in Publisher with few pinned objects via "Float With Text" button. When my edits cause text reflow I get sometimes strange issue with the pinned objects as you can see: The text with pin has overflown to the next spread but the object remains stuck on the original spread, pushed down the bottom of page. Moreover the line connected to the pin "hangs in the air", just mimicking position of the object on previous spread. While moving the object on original page the line connected to the pin on the next spread copies the movement as if the object was there. When I try to move the object to the next spread somewhere close to the pin it seems OK while I am dragging. At the moment I release mouse button the object jumps back to the previous spread to position I dragged it on the next spread. Pin remains on the next spread with the line connected to nothing but still mimicking the position of the object on the previous page. Even tried to unpin the object and then move it to the next spread. So far so good. But when I try to pin it anew, the object jumps back to the previous spread and I am where I was before. Once I even caused a crash of Publisher while trying to get the object to the next spread. Strange thing: there was no crash report, only autosaved document.
  23. Personally, I like the wealth of all the options we've got in Node tool. But there are so many it is sometimes a kind of a mess. So it deserves some tidiing (e.g. get rid of two different modifier actions and use single action to toggle the state of a node) and maybe better user guidance (like cursor change) would be welcomed too.
  24. Welcome to the crazy club of disappearing drawings! ;o) According to the response of @Sean P I assume this is a bug and not an intended functionality. We just have to hope it will be addressed, better sooner than later, or the club of crazy users will grow...
