Font Dropdown in Background

It's a bit annoying that the font dropdown drops down BEHIND all open windows and pallets (see screenshot).
Having dropdown menu ALWAYS on top would safe me a lot of time I'm currently spending with re-arranging windows.

# me too, … and also the Open dialog and the Export > Save dialog window are allowed to be covered by panels for no reason.

@thomaso The issue of the Open / Save dialog box being covered has also been logged but I have added this post to the bug to give it a bump.
